Dragon Zombie
The Dragon Zombie duo is the ninth boss encounter in Final Fantasy 1 Pixel Remaster. These two undead dragons ambush you on the top floor of the Citadel of Trials immediately after you claim the Rat’s Tail, a key item needed to upgrade your classes.

Each Dragon Zombie has 268 HP and a strong 56 Attack. As undead enemies, they are both weak to Fire and Dia magic, making this fight a test of exploiting elemental weaknesses against multiple targets.
Battle Strategy
Focus all your attacks on one Dragon Zombie at a time to reduce incoming damage as quickly as possible. Have your mages cast their strongest Fire and Dia spells (Firaga and Diaga). Your physical attackers can contribute significant damage by equipping fire-elemental weapons like the Flame Sword.
This fight is a damage race. With two strong physical attackers, your party can take heavy damage. Do not hesitate to use group-cast spells like Firaga to damage both enemies at once, then focus physical attacks to finish one off.
After the Battle
With the Dragon Zombies defeated, you can safely leave the Citadel of Trials with the Rat’s Tail. Take this item to King Bahamut in the Cardia Islands to have your party members undergo their class change, unlocking more powerful abilities and equipment options.
