Marilith
Marilith is the second of the Four Fiends you will face in Final Fantasy 1 Pixel Remaster. As the Fiend of Fire, this six-armed serpentine warrior guards the Fire Crystal in the lava-filled depths of Mt. Gulg. She is a primarily physical boss who uses Fire magic and status ailments to disrupt your party.

With 1,440 HP and a strong 50 Defense, Marilith has no elemental weaknesses. She uses Fire-based magic, so casting NulBlaze is the top priority.
Battle Strategy
This is a battle of physical endurance. Your White Wizard or Red Wizard must cast NulBlaze on the first turn. Your Black Wizard should cast Haste on your strongest fighters (Warrior/Monk). Since Marilith has no weaknesses, your mages’ best offensive options are status spells like Quake or Hold, which have a small chance of paralyzing her.
Buff your physical attackers relentlessly. Have your Knight and Master use Saber (from Giant’s Gloves) and keep Haste active. This fight is a pure damage race against a durable opponent, so maximizing your physical output is the only path to victory.
After the Battle
With Marilith’s defeat, the Fire Crystal is restored. A portal will appear to take you out of Mt. Gulg. Now two of the four fiends have been defeated, and your journey will lead you to the icy northern caves.
