Piscodemons
The Piscodemons are Final Fantasy 1 Pixel Remaster’s third boss encounter and second multi-enemy battle, featuring four demon fish guarding the Crown in Marsh Cave’s deepest level. This fight tests your ability to manage multiple threatening opponents with significantly higher stats than the earlier Pravoka Pirates.

Weaknesses: None
Resistances: Silence, Sleep, Paralysis, Darkness, Poison, Stone, Confuse, Fire, Ice, Spirit
Bestiary: #032
Each of the four Piscodemons has 84 HP, 30 Attack, and 16 Defense. Their combined damage output means multiple party members can be targeted each turn, requiring active healing management throughout the fight.
Battle Strategy
Focus fire on one Piscodemon at a time to reduce incoming damage quickly. Four attackers hitting for 30 damage each is far more dangerous than two. If you have Invis from Pravoka, cast it immediately to increase your party’s evasion and mitigate physical damage.
Use buffs to survive. Your Black or Red Mage should use Haste and Temper on your Warrior or Monk to maximize damage against their high Defense. Your White Mage must constantly heal anyone who drops below 40 HP, as multiple Piscodemons attacking the same target can quickly overwhelm defenses.
After the Battle
After defeating the Piscodemons, you automatically receive the Crown. Return this to the Marsh Cave entrance and deliver it to Astos (disguised as the King of Elfheim) to advance the story and gain access to the Western Keep.
